Kappenabend! (Crazy Hat Party) Coronation of Our Lady Church, 13000 Bennington, Grandview, MO, from 7:00 PM til 11:00 PM. Music provided by Dr. Mathias Wagner. Keg Beer , soda and ice will be provided, BYOB. Tenderloins, Rueben Casserole, salads and breads will be served, and dessert will be provided by the Ladies Auxilliary. Everyone is encouraged to wear a crazy hat and there'll be a contest with three prizes! $15.00 per person in advance or $20.00 at the door. Winterball 2004 - sponsored by St. Louis-Stuttgart Sister Cities, at the Edward Jones Atrium, Interstate 270 and Manchester Road in St Louis, MO. Maya Thomas is arranging the travel plans. Please contact her ASAP, if you have not done so yet! This year the club will be staying at the Sheraton-Wesport Hotel near the airport at I-270 and Page. Our good friends Roy Leimberg and Harrison Billy will treat us to brunch on Sunday morning at the new German restaurant at the Union Station.
Fasching! - German-American Society, 10909 M, Omaha, Nebraska. Make bus trip reservations by sending a deposit check to Heidi Tousignant at 3711 NE 54th St, KCMO, 64119. Make the check payable to "Germania" and the amount should be $30.00 per person. We will be staying at the same hotel, but it is under new management and is now called the "Days Hotel". Each member is responsible for making there own room reservation. Please call the Days Hotel at 1-800-526-6242. Heidi has the hotel holding a block of rooms for Germania, so make sure to tell them you are with the Club. Room rates will be $55.00 for a King and $60.00 for Double Beds. This is always a fun trip, lots of partying on the bus going up! (it is always quieter on the way home)! Our Prinzenpaar will be honored and we need to be there to support them!

8:30 PM. Featuring the music of Dr. Matthias Wagner, the antics of the Germania Club Männerballet, costume contest and a raffle for many fine prizes. Come in costume or any way you wish! Rosenmontag, Chicago, IL . The Hotel will be the "The Purple Hotel", just down the street from where the event will be held. They have been asked to set aside 15 rooms for Sunday and Monday night. The phone number is 1-847-677-1234. Mention "Germania" when reserving rooms and the rate will be $59.00 a night, plus tax. Hank Stitt would like to hear from those who are planning to go, so he can look into getting group transportation from the airport to the hotel (and coordinating the time of flights to and from).
