erlin, a city state with a turbulent history, was established between the years 1230 and 1240.   It became the capital of Germany with the founding of the German Reich in 1871.   Split after World War II and during the Cold War years, it was reunified and again became the capital city of Germany on October 3, 1990.

erlin has always been considered one of Europes greatest cultural centers.   The best known features in the city are the Brandenburg Gate, The Reichstag, the Schloss Bellevue, the Deutsche Dom and the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church, maintained with bomb damage to testify to the horror of war.   The tourist in Berlin will be treated to the above mentioned landmarks, as well as a lively evening pub life and some of the finest cuisine Europe has to offer.
